Fleece Preparation NotesIn the art of fiber processing, it is understood that both client and Legacy Lane Fiber Mill are partners in creating a quality product. Therefore, Legacy Lane Fiber Mill reserves the right to return fleece at client's expense that is not mill ready. Mill ready is defined as fleece that has been sorted during shearing (fleece separated by location shorn on animal and labeled as such) and skirted (the removal of foreign matter from the fleece) before being stored and shipped. Mill ready fleece guarantees the client a quality, cost effective product. ~ The following links provide detailed information to assist in preparing fleece for milling:
